Buttons and surfaces you already own
You do not need a physical Stream Deck to use Companion. It ships with a built-in emulator, a touch-friendly web page, and the ability to trigger buttons through OSC, TCP, UDP, HTTP, WebSocket, and ArtNet. The same job, just without the plastic keys.

Getting started with Bitfocus Companion
Whether you are coming from a different control system or just unboxed your first Stream Deck, the path is short. Grab the build, create a login on the Bitfocus user portal, pick your modules, and start building buttons.
One — Download the app
Head to the download page and grab the installer for Windows, Mac, or Linux. Bitfocus Companion runs quietly in the background and wakes whenever a device connects.
Two — Sign in to the portal
Use the Bitfocus login page to reach your account. From there you can manage downloads, versions, and keep your setup in sync across machines.
Three — Add modules
Companion modules are the optional plugins that talk to your gear. Search the library, add the ones you own, and watch the buttons come alive.
Free and open source
Companion will always stay free, open source, and community driven. You are welcome to contribute code or donate; neither is required.
